Just woken up by the annoying beeping, Addie wasn't exactly in the best mood, but that was about to change. Thanks to Lance. She didn't know why, but she always had fun when she was with him. Maybe because he was quiet as well. She didn't feel the need to talk loud at all with him.
She walked over to her small dresser and pulled out the bikini she had just went and got a few days. She realized that in order to swim, she would need a bathing suit. This was only the second or third bikini she had owned in her entire life. She quickly put on the top, and then the bottom. She felt slightly uncomfortable, but she was going to get over it.
She put on a plain white tank top over the top, and then she put on a pair of black shorts, and a pair of black flip flops. She ran a hand through her hair, looking at herself in the mirror, before walking out the door. She made her way to the pool. She knew exactly how to get there, though she hadn't ever really been in there. She opened the door to get into the pool, bitting her lip lightly. She sat in a chair, waiting for Lance to get there.

Okay, so being woken up this early in the day was something that bugged Lance. He didn’t know why; it did. He used to wake up early for school and stuff, but school days were passed him as he lived in an institute; he could wake up whenever. But he still waked up early, just to be mad. But he wasn’t going to be mad today. He was going to the pool today. For what reason? To meet Addie and teach her how to swim.
He pulled on his blue swim trunks before throwing on a white T-shirt overtop of that. He had on black and white checkered Vans on his feet; he’d take them off when he got to the pool. Grabbing a towel, he threw it over his shoulder before walking out the door towards the pool.
He walked down the hallway, earning a few glances from people. His hair was haphazardly flying everywhere; he hadn’t bothered to straighten it or comb it out. The water from the pool would take care of that for him. He managed to make it to the pool; even though he’d never entered there before. Pulling the door open, he looked around before his eyes spotted Addie sitting in a chair. Grinning slightly, he walked over, saying, “Hey. You ready for today?” He threw his towel on an empty chair next to hers while he took his shoes and socks off.

Addie jumped slightly hearing someone's voice. She hadn't really been paying attention, but she smiled when she realized it was Lance. "Yup. But are you ready?" She smiled at him, raising her eyebrow.
She stood up slowly, and bit her lip before pulling her tank top over her head. She threw it on the chair that she had previously been sitting in. Then she slipped off her shorts, feeling her cheeks get slightly hotter. She wasn't good at revealing this much in front of people.

He noticed her jump slightly, and he was about to apologize for scaring her, but he didn’t get the words out as she talked. Giving her a small smile, he nodded. “I can handle teaching someone how to swim.” Hopefully. He sucked at teaching things, that was for certain.
He turned around as he caught her taking off her tank top and shorts, and he couldn’t help but think she looked pretty good. But he shook the thoughts off. Giving her a smile, he noticed that she was looking slightly awkward. Maybe she wasn’t used to this? “Hey…if you don’t want to do this now, it’s fine.” He didn’t want her to feel awkward about anything.

She smiled slightly in his direction. She wasn't sure if he would be able to teach her how to swim; she wasn't very good at learning things, but it was spending time with someone she didn't mind spending time with.
She shook her head at him. "I don't mind.. I'm just not used to it." That was the truth; she really wasn't used to wearing less than a t shirt and jeans in front of people. She rarely wore anything more revealing than that. "So.. swimming time." She didn't want him to think she didn't want to be here; it was quite the opposite.

Seeing her smile, he gave her one in return before walking over to the edge of the shallow end. Holding his hand out for her, he said, “If you really want to do this, then come on.”
He didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable with all this. “If you’re sure you want to do this. I mean, if you’re not used to it, we can just do something else?” He gave her a small smile; he didn’t want her to feel like she had to do it. It was all her choice.

She walked towards him, grabbing his hand. "Okay. I'm ready." She felt her stomach tie up in knots, but she wasn't sure weather it was because she was scared of swimming, or because she was holding his hand, or a mixture of the two. She bit her lip softly, stepping down until the water reached her thighs.
She shook her head. "I'm fine. I can deal with it for a while." She kept her cool on the outside, but on the inside she was pretty much freaking out. She didn't want him to be thinking anything bad about her; like what if the reason he was telling her she didn't have it was because she looked bad. She looked down slightly, lost in her thoughts.

Feeling her take his hand, he could feel his heart stop for a minute, and he didn’t know why. But he felt it pass soon as he looked at her, smiling a soft smile at her. He watched her step down, and he followed suit. Though the water reached her thighs, the water in the shallow end only went up to his knees; curse him for being so damn tall. He looked at her before saying, “All right. You want to see if you can float on your back first?” He was going to start off with the small things first.
Hearing her talk, he gave her a smile before saying, “All right. If you ever feel like you want to get out, just tell me.” He thought for a minute how he was going to do this. Taking both her hands, he said, “Okay. What I want you to do is just lie back on the water. I’ll keep my hands on your back so you don’t have to worry, all right?” He decided to maybe mention he’d eventually move his hands later, but he wanted her to relax and get used to the water first.

She nodded when he asked about floating on her back. She loosened the grip on his hand reluctantly, but didn't pull her hand away from him yet. She wasn't used to the water yet. She glanced up at him, smiling softly.
She nodded. "Okay. And thanks for this." She nodded slightly, feeling her stomach tie up in tighter knots when he picked up both of her hands. She leaned back until her back was on the water, slightly scared, but she clenched her jaw, and got over it.

Almost immediately he felt her loosen her grip on his hand, but she still hadn’t let go. And part of him was surprisingly happy she hadn’t. He gave her a friendly smile as she smiled at him, saying, “Just take your time.”
Hearing her say thanks, he nodded his head at her before watching her lean back until her back hit the water. Slowly, he let go of her hands before holding her back in his hands gently to keep her afloat. He looked at her before saying, “You doing okay?” It wouldn’t be good if she was panicking and nervous over all this.

She nodded slightly when he asked if she was doing okay. She surprisingly wasn't doing bad; she was really relaxed, even though she was pretty much freaking out because someone was seeing her in very little clothing. She closed her eyes, sighing slightly. This was way easier than she had imagined it would be.

Seeing her nod, he smiled at her. It was going pretty good, and he didn’t want to mess it up. But he took a deep breath, saying, “I’m going to move my hands now, okay?” He bit his lip, looking at her. “I want you to see if you can balance. If you feel like your going to sink, just….scream at me or something, all right?”

She nodded slightly. She was kinda scared of him moving his hands; what if she sank and died. That'd be no good. But she was sure he wouldn't let her die.. hopefully he wouldn't let her die. "Okay. i'm ready.. I think." She chewed on the inside of her lip slightly, still really nervous.

Seeing her nod, even just slightly, made him feel better. Giving her a reassuring smile, he slowly let his hands slide off her back. He took a step back, saying, “Just relax your arms. Relax…well, everything. If you feel like your sinking, just yell at me.” he was poised to grab her just in case she did start to sink, and he didn’t clue in on it fast enough.

She let herself relax a little hearing him say to relax. Is really wasn't as hard as she had thought it would be. It wasn't really hard at all. Okay, well it was a little, but that was okay. She glanced at Lance out of the corner of her eyes, and smiled at him slightly. "This isn't so hard. I thought it would have been harder."
