Watching her relax, he smiled a soft smile at her, watching her. His arms were still at the ready if she felt like she was sinking, but he was standing around for nothing. She was staying pretty stable. Hearing her, he gave her a smile. “Well, floating it actually the easiest you can do. So even if you can’t swim, at least you can float.” He took her hands and pulled her up, saying, “Do you want me to show you how to actually swim now?”

Feeling him pull her up, she felt her stomach tie in knots again. She nodded, before saying, "Yeah. Let's do it." She smiled up at him, biting her lip softly. She was more nervous for the swimming thing. That one you actually had to move around and go into the deeper end.

Seeing her nod, he gave her a bigger smile than before. It was good that she was willing to try and give swimming a shot. It was a very, very good thing. He nodded before letting go of her hands, taking a few steps back to give her room. “Okay, this time I want you to lie on your stomach. I promise, I’ll keep my arms out for you.” Just to prove his point, he stretched his arms out as long as they would go in front of her. Inclining his head for her to come to him, he said, “Just lay on your stomach over my arms, and I’ll show you how to swim.”

She listened to him carefully, nodding when he told her what to do. She walked slowly through the water towards him, and laid on his arms. She tilted her head up, trying to keep water out of her face. She glanced up at him out of the corner of her eyes. "What now?" She was getting kinda scared. She wasn't really sure if she could do it, but she was going to at least try.

he watched her as she walked over to him before feeling her weight on his arms. Surprisingly, not much weight at all. He gave her a smile as she looked up at him. He tried to think of how he could explain this to her. “Okay. What I want you to do is….you know how people swim with their arms?” He hoped she knew what he meant, or else he would have to let go and demonstrate. “What I want you to do is do that stroke while kicking your legs. But you’re not going to move, get it?”

"Kindaaa." She smiled up at him, sighing lightly before she started to move her arms. She felt like a right idiot doing this, but it was worth it.. maybe. Maybe one day she would need to know how to swim for something really important. she couldn't really think of what she would have to need to know swimming for, but she dropped it and went back to concentrating on her arms.

hearing her talk, he gave her a smile. Okay, so he wasn’t the best at explaining things, but he made some sense to him. H e watched her move her arms, and he watched her for a minute before saying over the splashing. “You need to kick your legs too!” He gave her a smile, even though he knew she probably couldn’t see it.

She heard him say something about legs and remembered him saying you had to kick your legs too. She started to kick her legs, trying to ignore the fact she probably looked like a straight up idiot. She wasn't good at looking like an idiot. She pretty much hated looking like an idiot.

He watched her, feeling the water splashing against him as she started kicking her legs. He gave her a smile before shouting out about the splashing. “Okay, okay! Stop for a minute.” He grinned at her. “That’s going good. Rest a minute, and then maybe we can give it a try doing it without me holding onto you?”

She stopped kicking and moving her arms, her breathing very slightly irregular. She stood up, adjusting her bathing suit. She nodded at him. "Yeah. Let's do it." She was having a lot of fun, and even if she did end up going under, and almost dieing, this would probably be one of the best days ever.

He relaxed his arms, stretching them above his head. Hearing her breathing, he raised an eyebrow at her. “How you holding up?” He didn’t want her to be tired or have swallowed pool water or anything. He leaned back, relaxing his back against the water so that he was on his back, floating for a minute before sitting up, shaking his hair of the water. His hair was now laying in front of his face, dripping wet, and he shook his head like a wet dog before turning to Addie. “Ready to try?”

"Pretty good. What about you?" She smiled at him softly. When he asked if she was ready, she nodded slightly. She really wasn't at all in the least bit ready, but she was going to do this. She was determined to. She was going to at least try before the day was over.

He gave her a soft smile. “I’m pretty good.” Seeing her nod, he gave her a grin. Running a hand through his hair to get it out of his face, he smiled a reassuring smile at her. He nodded, saying, “Whenever you’re ready, just tell me.” He was going to have her just swim around the shallow end. He was afraid that if he let her go to the deep end, she might have drowned, and that wouldn’t be good at all.

She took a deep breath in, trying to calm herself down. "Alright. I'm ready." She chewed on the inside of her lip slightly. "Okay.. So what do I do now?" She had no idea how she was going to manage this. She just really hoped she didn't drown. >.<

Hearing her say she was ready, he smiled. He thought about how they should do this. He went over to the wall, where there was a thing where you could grab. He motioned for her to walk over, and said, “Okay. Put her left foot on this wall, and grab with your left hand. You’re going to kick off, and the minute you do, start doing our little kick and splash motion.” He was trying to remember swim lessons from when he was younger, but it was hard.
