As soon as the first few words were out of Jade’s mouth, Stef could have guessed what was coming next. She wasn’t the least bit surprised when she was right, and the dreaded question came: ‘what are you here for’. Stef wasn’t that opposed to telling people that she saw things that weren’t there; She found it amusing. However, it was the other thing that she hated telling; No one liked someone who made themselves throw up their food after they ate it. ”I have schizophrenia.” she said. ”Basically, I see things that aren’t there.” she laughed nervously, and bit her lip. Hopefully, she wouldn’t notice that Stef was hiding the other thing; It wasn’t something she was comfortable with sharing just yet.
”Thanks again for letting me borrow your book like this.” Stef said, trying to get as far away from their previous topic of conversation as possible. ”It’s really nice. I mean, most people wouldn’t do that, you know?” she said. Stef continued looking at Jade, and her face was sort of… reluctant. Almost as if she wished that she had never said anything to her. And then it was surprised; Surprised that Stef thought that she was cool. ”Well, yeah.” she said. ”You’re obviously not trying to be someone your not. And that, in my book, is cool.”

Jade watched Stefanie as she spoke. She was schizophrenic. Jade nodded. "Ohh. Thats actually kinda cool." She tried not to laugh. "I mean, wouldnt you rather see something thats not there then steal something every five seconds, like a klepto?" She tilted her head. She knew that there was something Stefanie wasnt telling her. It was weird but Jade felt oddly close to Stefanie. She didnt know why or how, she just did.
She listened to Stefanie. She nodded. "Its no problem. I mean if I cant trust you with a book then Id better get a new roommate." She put her hand up to her mouth and laughed into her sleeve. When Stefanie replied to her about being cool, Jade thought. She never tried to be something she wasnt. "Im just...me." She shrugged. "Flaws and all." Jade bit her lip to keep from smiling.

Stef almost laughed when Jade said that it was sort of cool that she was a schizophrenic. ”Yeah.” she said. ”I guess it is. I mean, it’s actually kind of fun sometimes.” She laughed, remembering the events of a few days before. ”A few days ago, I was skipping class, and I thought I saw Bret Michaels in the hallway. You know, Bret Michaels from that 80’s band and that new show, Rock of Love? Yeah. Well, I saw him one second, then he was gone, and I ran into someone trying to look for him.” she laughed, remembering it.
Stef laughed again when Jade made that analogy. Although they hadn’t really been roommates for too long, Jade must know her enough to know that she wasn’t a klepto, and she wouldn’t take things just for the hell of it. She smiled warmly at her. ”Everyone has flaws, though.” she said. ”Like me, with my persistence to run after an 80’s rock star that isn’t really there.” she laughed, yet again.

Jade listened to her and Jade nodded. When Stefanie told her about Bret Michaels, she couldnt hold back her laughter. She put her hand over her mouth and didnt stop laughing. She couldnt stop. "Sorry...but that is really funny." She tried to catch her breathe. "Im here for sleepwalking and one time I apparently walked to a teachers room and was banging on the door yelling the birds were attacking my toes." She shrugged.
Jade looked at Stefanie. She laughed at what Jade said and Jade looked at her feet, smiling. She looked up and nodded when Stefanie said everyone had flaws. She let out a small laugh. "Well, I think birds are attacking my toes." She held back a laugh.

Stef shrugged, and laughed herself. She had to admit, her whole disorder was pretty funny, especially the way it happened to her. It even got Jade, quiet Jade, who covered her mouth because she hated her own laugh, to start giggling despite her hand trying to cover it. Stef listened to Jade talk, and nodded. She laughed when Jade told her story about saying that birds attacked her toes. "Wow. That must have been quite a sight for the teachers." she laughed.
Stef watched Jade look up at her, then look back at her feet. Jade had to be the shyest person that Stef had ever met, even as a child, when almost all kids were shy around people they didn't know. Stef laughed yet again. "And I think I see celebrities. I have to say, I think we make a pretty good pair." she laughed again.

Jade watched Stefanie laugh. She gave her a half smile. Jade shook her head. "They probably still talk about it in the teachers lounge." She couldnt help but laugh at that. The whole story was pretty funny.
Jade bit her lip and looked back at Stefanie. She listened to her talk. Jade smiled. "I think we probably do, too." Stefanie and Jade kinda just clicked. Even though, Jade is very shy and Stefanie isnt. They are practicly opposites. They still somehow click.
OOC- that sucked

Stef saw the half smile that Jade gave her, and she had to say that she was proud. It wasn't much; A half smile such as thatcould even be slightly offensive to someone in normal circumstances. But still, the fact that there was no smiling whatsoever in the beginning of the conversation made her feel like she had actually made progress, accomplished something. She let out a slight laugh, as well. "Well, they have no lives otherwise." she said.
Stef smiled at Jade when she said that she, too, thought they made a pretty good pair, what with Stef's seeing things that weren't really there and Jade's sleep-walking extravaganzas. They weren't alike at all in reality, but still, something about Jade seemed... familiar, somehow, to Stef. She didn't know how, she just knew that she really wanted to make her comfortable.
OOC: Nahh. This does. xP

Jade looked at Stefanie when she spoke. She wanted to laugh but she held back. She still wasnt comfortable with Stefanie. She hoped Stefanie wasnt taking it personally. "Thats very true." She looked at the ground before looking up at the girl again. "I hope you dont think this is like personal. Its not, I just...I dont really trust people easy. Its really a long story." She bit her lip and looked at Stefanie.
She closed her eyes for a moment. She was trying to realize why she felt at ease with Stefanie. She barely knew this girl and it kind of scared Jade. She opened her eyes and looked around the bookstore. It was pretty boring here and Jade shrugged. "Do you wanna get out of here?" Jade sure did.

Stef could tell that Jade was still... holding back, of sorts, with her. She felt accomplished, though, because she had gotten this far. When she walked into the room, the girl who was now sitting across from her probably would have said a word if she hadn't said something first. And now there were full sentences being said at a time. It was quite an accomplishment, even if it still wasn't that much. Stef shook her head vigorously at Jade. "Oh, no! Don't worry about it!" she said. "I totally understand."
Stef watched the other girl shut her eyes, almost as if thinking about things; thinking really hard. It was obvious from the girls manner and what she had just said about not trusting people that something had gone on in her past. She didn't want to ask her straight out and possibly make her mad, or even scare her. That wouldn't be very good. And then the girl opened her eyes again, and asked her if she wanted to go. "Sure." she said, getting up.

She smiled a little at Stefanie. Jade nodded as she spoke. "Thanks. Its really nothing personal." She shrugged at Stefanie. Jade was surprised that she had even talked to Stefanie at all. Jade usually wouldnt say anything to anyone. Even when someone else started the conversation, Jade didnt really talk to them.
Jade watched the girl stand up and say sure. Jade smiled and stood up. She stretched her arms. "Where to?" She walked to the door of the book store. She walked out and hoped that Stefanie was behind her. She looked around. There wasnt a lot of places they could go but anywhere was better then that book store.

Stef smiled at the small smile that Jade gave her, and she was glad that she hadn't pressed the matter further. She had been known to be a nosy person, constantly wanting to know what was going on in the lives of others. It annoyed people, even herself at times. Still, some people didn't want others pressing into their matters, and apparently Jade was one of them.
She followed Jade as the other girl walked towards the door of the large bookstore. With the fresh copy of Twilight grasped in her hand she followed her outside into the sun. The bookstore wasn't exactly her favorite store in the world; She always felt so out of place there. All the struggling artists writing with a cup of Starbucks in their hand, or the bookworms trying to finish a book in a few hours so they didn't have to pay for it. She wasn't either of those people. She shrugged at her companion. "I don't care." she said. "We can go rent that movie now if you want, even though it's not raining."

Jade smiled at Stefanie. Renting a movie sounded like fun. She nodded. "Sure! That sounds like fun!" She started walking towards the movie store. She looked back at Stefanie to see if she was coming. She was humming to herself.
OOC- ehhhhh Im so sorry. That realllly sucks.

Stefanie saw Jade smile at her, and the sense of accomplishment washed over her once more. She heard Jade's enthusiastic reply to her suggestion of watching that movie the parent trap, and smiled. "Great!" she said. They walked towards the movie store, that wasn't too far away. Thinking of the movie they were about to watch, she turned to Jade. "So, how many times has someone mistaken you for me?" she asked, letting out a slight laugh. It was no secret that they looked alike.

Jade looked at her when she spoke. She thought for a moment. Shrugging, she answered. "A lot." She let out a small laugh. She had remembered a time when a girl thought she was Stefanie. The girl had gotten very mad because she thought Jade was lying to her. "Has anyone ever mistaken you for me?" Jade doubted that was true. She didnt have many friends. Jade and Stefanie did look a lot a like. Even Jade wondered if they were related. She doubted it though.
